Erica Kemp, Managing Director

Erica joined Ecus from Scott Wilson in 2003 and became a Director in 2010.  After time spent as Commercial Director for Ecus, she now acts as MD guiding the company through the next phase of growth. She specialises in detailed knowledge of environmental support through the planning process and Environmental Impact Assessments.

Nick Birkinshaw, Development Director

Nick joined Ecus in 2003 and became a Director in 2010. Nick has wide ranging experience of Technical Supervision and Project Management, with ecological input to major engineering and regeneration schemes. After successfully occupying the role of MD for 7 years, Nick moved into the new role of Development Director in January 2018 to focus on further growing the company’s capacity and operational scope. He currently leads the expansion of the Environmental Contracting Team.

Sara Blannin, Finance Director

Sara joined Ecus in 2015 and brings an enviable career history and skills to the company having fulfilled similar roles in a number of environment based businesses including Ewan Group and most recently RSK Carter.

Pete became Ecus Chairman in 2009.  He brings extensive business experience developed while building company’s in the software, asset management and environmental sectors.

The Senior Team

Chris John, Business Development Director

Chris joined Ecus in 2013 with responsibility for ecology across the company. Chris has experience of working in both the public and commercial sectors, having joined Ecus from the Canal & River Trust, where he was employed as National Ecologist specialising in invasive species, wildlife and planning law and designated site management. He has since moved into the role of Business Development Director, heading-up the company’s commercial operations.

Paul White, Director of Technical Quality

Paul joined Ecus in January 2013 with responsibility for managing the Ecus heritage team. He specialises in historic landscapes and setting assessment and previously worked for Wessex Archaeology. Paul has since moved into further leadership capacity as Director of Technical Quality, responsible for the high delivery standards of Ecus’ technical services.
