Role Description

Working alongside our team of experienced and knowledgeable ecology consultants, you will play a key role in the delivery of a diverse range of ecological and environmental based projects, with duties including:

  • Assisting with large-scale protected species field surveys across the UK
  • Undertaking data consultations and reviewing biological records
  • Assisting with extended UK Habitats surveys
  • Pre-survey preparation
  • Field recording, data entry and input of survey data
  • Drafting environmental reports

Desirable Skills & Experience

At Cura Terrae, we recognise that many Seasonal Ecologists are early years professionsals and may not have much experience, though some may have garnered skills through placements, voluntary work or previous contracts. This list should not be taken as pass/fail as we provide training and mentoring to raise your skill set.

  • PTS / ICI desirable
  • CIEEM membership highly desirable
  • GIS experience (training can be provided)
  • Educated to graduate level in a relevant subject
  • Experience of undertaking ecological surveys
  • The ability to work away from home as / when required to undertake surveys as part of a field team (all expenses paid)
  • CSCS card holder
  • Full driving licence
