The roles

The Senior and Principal roles will be part of our EIA team and will work closely with our technical discipline teams across the country to deliver a diverse array of projects. Applicants will ideally be experienced in coordinating and managing EIA in a range of sectors such as energy, water and transport.  Experience across different planning regimes (TCPA, DCO, Highways Act etc) is also desirable but not essential.

You will play a critical role in ensuring our projects comply with all relevant environmental regulations and standards. Drawing from your expertise, you will identify potential environmental risks and propose effective mitigation measures to minimise potential environmental impacts of our clients projects.  You will have a proven track record of managing, co-ordinating and leading EIA teams to deliver high quality assessments to time and to budget. Collaboration and communication are key to successful delivery of multi-disciplinary projects such as EIAs so we are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic, positive, diplomatic and articulate.

Principals and Seniors will be expected to lead projects as Project Manager as well as contribute to business development with a focus on EIA.  At this level you may also be expected to provide guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team.

Skills and experience

Senior role

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional membership of IEMA or CIEEM or other relevant institution.
  • 4+ years consultancy experience
  • Proven experience in contributing to the co-ordination and production of Environmental Statements, Environmental Reports and Environmental Assessments
  • Excellent project management and client liaison skills.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Principal role

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional membership of IEMA or CIEEM (Full or working towards this), RPTI or other relevant institution.
  • 7+ years consultancy experience.
  • Proven experience in delivering EIA’s on medium to large projects for a range of clients.
  • Excellent project management experience and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and enthusiastic and confident with clients.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant environmental laws, regulations, and guidance.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Experienced in tender preparation and bid writing.
