Principal Landscape Architect – Location Flexible

All Main Regional Offices Considered (Basingstoke, Bristol, Edinburgh, Manchester, Sheffield)

This is an exciting opportunity for a Landscape Institute Chartered Landscape Architect, Landscape Principal to join an enthusiastic team delivering projects to a wide range of clients across the UK.  Located at any of our main regional offices (Basingstoke, Bristol, Edinburgh, Manchester or Sheffield), you will take a lead on a range of types and sizes of projects, including strategic planning, major infrastructure, urban regeneration and environmental enhancement schemes.

Our landscape team is currently based in the Ecus Yorkshire East Midlands offices. We are looking to expand our landscape team presence in our other regions with a focus on developing landscape planning services with a focus on developing the Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) capacity of our landscape team.  The role will include developing and building a landscape team to complement the existing team.

  • Essential / Desirable Skills and Experience

    We are looking for

    • Winning work and developing new and existing client relationships across the infrastructure and development sectors
    • Leading and managing a growing team
    • Working collaboratively with the existing landscape team based in our Yorkshire East Midlands offices
    • Growing the landscape team to increase its skills set and capacity
    • Project management and leadership, including Quality Assurance
    • Preparation of fee quotes and tenders
    • The transfer of knowledge and information to staff working with you.
    • Identification of suitable additional staff to enable department growth
    • The identification and recommendation of internal and external training needs.
    • Health and Safety matters in conjunction with the Operations Manager / H&S Managers
    • Maintain and develop your personal, technical and professional qualifications and membership status where appropriate. (i.e. CMLI etc.)
