  • About this Opportunity

    What we are looking for

    We are looking for talented, enthusiastic team players with a desire to join a well-established and respected environmental consultancy for the upcoming season.

    Working alongside our high performing team of experienced and knowledgeable ecological consultants, you will play a key role in the delivery of a diverse range of ecological and environmental based projects, including:

    • Assisting with protected species surveys across the UK (including bats and hazel dormice)
    • Undertaking data consultations and reviewing biological records
    • Biodiversity Net Gain assessments
    • Assisting with extended Phase 1 / UKHab habitat surveys
    • Pre-survey preparation
    • Field recording, data entry and input of survey data
    • Drafting environmental reports
  • Essential Skills / Experience

    Requirements for our role

    The skills and experience we require will depend on the grade you are applying for, but as a minimum, we seek the following from our ecologists:

    • PTS / ICI desirable
    • IEEM / CIEEM membership highly desirable
    • Experience of bat analysis software desirable
    • GIS experience (training can be provided)
    • Educated to graduate level in a relevant subject
    • Experience of undertaking ecological surveys
    • The ability to work away from home as / when required to undertake surveys as part of a field team (all expenses paid)
    • CSCS card holder desirable
    • Full driving licence
