The acquisition further strengthens Ecus’s range of services, particularly in the Heritage and Archaeology sectors.
We’re really pleased and excited to announce our acquisition of Northern Archaeological Associates (NAA). The deal was signed on 11 October and NAA will officially become a member of the growing Ecus family from 12 October 2021.
This is an exciting period of growth for Ecus and the acquisition of NAA will further strengthen our expanding Heritage and Archaeology teams around the UK. NAA are based in County Durham and will become an Ecus subsidiary working alongside our North East region (NER), with support from Gael Forest, Regional Manager for NER and Paul White, Head of Profession for Heritage and Archaeology.
NAA’s major commissions include archaeology services on the A1 dualling project, which complement Ecus’s current portfolio of work on road and rail infrastructure. Established in 1990 and with an enviable track record, services at NAA include project design, heritage management, geophysics, landscape surveys, excavation, post-excavation, and community outreach.
