As Operations Director, Dave’s focus lies in the continuous improvement and implementation of the systems and processes used to deliver excellence across Cura Terrae Land and Nature. His role incorporates all teams and locations, linking operations with finance, senior leadership and the wider group, while facilitating communications, managing performance, maximising efficiency and effectiveness, and advocating for staff training and development.
Before appointment to this role in mid-2024, Dave worked within a similar remit in the Historic Environment team, with which he maintains strong connections. As a former senior manager of Northern Archaeological Associates, Dave was central to its successful integration into Ecus following acquisition in late 2021, and subsequently he contributed to the ongoing development of a national Archaeology and Heritage service at Cura Terrae, synchronising with networks across the group.
In his 20-year archaeological career, Dave is particularly proud of numerous projects he has helped to manage and deliver, whether at small local scale, or on a regional or national level infrastructure projects. He has managed and delivered on utilities and facilities improvements, such as the A1 upgrade through North Yorkshire, Grassholme Reservoir and Berwick Infirmary. Whatever the scale, value or purpose of the development, Dave is dedicated to fostering trusting and prosperous working relationships with stakeholders and all the excellent people at Cura Terrae who make our service offering so broad and reliable.
