Project Archaeologist role responsibilities:
- Provide support to the project lead in the delivery of archaeological projects to professional standards.
- Be competent in basic hand excavation and recording techniques, with supervision and ongoing skills training provided.
- Work safely in accordance with Company Health & Safety requirements.
- Improve and develop skillsets and expertise, engaging with guidance and training to maintain personal and professional development.
- Represent the Company in a professional and positive manner.
Additional duties
- Work at distance from designated office (away work) as required.
- Carry out all and any other such duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required, and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility for this role.
- Maintain a full UK driving license (preferred).
- Contribute to and support positive morale within teams.
- Maintain accreditation at Practitioner level or above in the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (PCIfA) (preferred but not essential).
