About the role

Our Landscape team works on a wide range of projects for public and private sector clients in the residential, energy, transport, regeneration and water sectors.  This includes high profile major infrastructure projects.

Due to the growing demand for our services from clients, in particular in the renewable energy sector, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Landscape Architect consultants to join our dynamic and growing tam.  You will be involved in delivering and managing projects and will help shape and sustainably grow our business in this area.

We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Landscape Planner at Senior or Principal level, who is looking to further develop their career as part of a forward-thinking environmental consultancy. You will be working to expand our landscape planning services, particularly strengthening the Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) capacity of our team.  The role will include developing and building a landscape planning team to complement the existing team.

We anticipate the day-to-day responsibilities of the position will include:

  • Managing junior staff and building a landscape planning team.
  • Leading on all aspects of the consultation, fieldwork and reporting involved with landscape planning including for LVIAs, SLVIAs, TVIAs, LCA with support from the landscape team.
  • Preparing drawings and reports using Microsoft Office, GIS, AutoCAD, BricsCAD and QScape software.

As well as good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, nurture positive working relationships with colleagues and clients alike, we’re looking for the Landscape Planner to have:

  • A degree in Landscape Architecture or a related discipline.
  • Be a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute or on the Pathway to Chartership.
  • Experience of carrying out and writing LVIAs and other landscape planning documents for a range of projects including renewable energy schemes.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCad and/or GIS or similar and a willingness to be trained in the use of QScape software, BricsCAD.
  • Willingness to travel for project fieldwork.
  • Full UK Driving Licence, ideally comfortable to travel nationwide though this is not essential.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and manage own workload to meet client deadlines.
